LinkedIn is a social media site that is primarily for business networking. LinkedIn has grown in popularity over the past few years, and many people are using it to showcase their skills and get potential clients. LinkedIn is also a great resource for finding jobs as well as meeting new people with similar interests. In this article, we will be discussing how you can use LinkedIn to find clients for your business!
Steps to Follow for LinkedIn Business
If you want to establish your business on LinkedIn then follow these steps.
1- Create a Page on LinkedIn
Before marketing and finding a client for yourself on LinkedIn, first, create a LinkedIn page. LinkedIn is a business network site, so you will need to create a LinkedIn page for your company.
To get started visit the LinkedIn home page and click on ‘Start’ in the top right corner of your LinkedIn screen near your name. Then choose either ‘Create personal account’ or ‘Create an organization’. Either way should take you to this page:
Now, choose the category in which your business falls and then fill all the information it asks for. LinkedIn will ask for your professional headline, LinkedIn profile photo, and summary. You can also add a website to this page but it is not necessary if you do not have one.
Once all the information has been submitted click ‘Create LinkedIn account’. LinkedIn will send you an email with some more instructions that are similar to what I mentioned above so make sure to read the email.
After you have created your LinkedIn account, let’s move on to optimizing it!
2- Optimizing LinkedIn for Your Business Page
Now that we have our LinkedIn page set up and ready to go, we need to optimize this page so that potential clients can find us more easily. You want your LinkedIn business profile not only to look good, but to be found easily by potential clients. LinkedIn has something called ‘Endorsements’ which is a great way for people to find you and your company on LinkedIn!
To get endorsements visit the LinkedIn page of one of your connections and scroll down to the section that says ‘Skills & Endorsements’. You will see a list of skills your LinkedIn connections endorse you for. Click ‘Endorse’ next to any of the endorsements that apply and click ‘Save’.
In order to get even more LinkedIn page views from potential clients, we need to make sure our LinkedIn profile is complete! It should have all relevant work experience listed in a concise way so LinkedIn users can scan your LinkedIn profile and get a good idea of what you do.
3- Share your Page on Other Social Media
As you want to get more audience for your LinkedIn page, you must share it on your other social media platforms. Ask the people to connect with you. LinkedIn is a great place to network with other LinkedIn users so be sure to mention your LinkedIn page on your Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and all of the other social media platforms you are active on.
